NATURE CLUB

Fee: $100

Community

Honey of the Hive Nature Clubs meet weekly for an afternoon outdoors. Members bring lunch to eat with Forest School friends. While eating, we celebrate birthdays and milestones. We also sometimes enjoy playground songs and games or go on a hike together.

We typically meet at a local nature preserve or garden.
We grow to know these places intimately as we get acquainted with the flora and fauna and watch seasonal changes. Our time together includes unstructured, imaginative play and a little extra mother culture time. Our main goal is to give our children unstructured opportunities to freely explore.

NATURE & GEOGRAPHY

We free-explore nature and geography  and model by-the-way learning with incidental discussions about whatever comes under our noses.

FREE & IMAGINATIVE PLAY

Who doesn't love a good ramble?
Children have plenty of time for free, unstructured play. We occasionally provide items to aid imaginative play.

MOTHER CULTURE

Mothers may discuss topics from Book Club, talk about homeschooling in general, or simply enjoy each other’s company. We encourage and model masterly inactivity.
