Honey of the Hive is a group of families offering the rich, nurturing education of the Charlotte Mason philosophy to our children and ourselves as we learn and grow together. We support one another as we each build strong homes centered on Jesus Christ — where the atmosphere, discipline, and life of a Charlotte Mason education thrive. We strive to nurture Christ-centered relationships that allow for accountability as we grow together in grace toward a fuller understanding and implementation of Mason's principles in our homeschools. There is room in the Hive for families already committed to using Mason’s methods and for families committed to learning more.
We want our hive colonies to experience the blessing of intergenerational members with diverse ethnical, social, and economic backgrounds. We value the experience and wisdom of empty nesters who have graduated CM students from their home or school but still want to mentor others and love on our babies. We invite the energy of teenagers who can model self-learning and good habits for little ones. We welcome the eagerness of young mothers who desire to start building relationships and deepening their understanding of CM philosophy while mindfully protecting the quiet growing time of their Early Years children. We appreciate dads who, when able, join us on rambles, excursions and field trips and regularly attend family events.
We recognize what binds us together is a shared heart for God; above all else, and for His glory, we want our group to be a reflection of His Kingdom.
